Hawaii Bound

We had an amazing time in Hawaii, visiting Candice and her beautiful twin boys. It was a bitter sweet visit, because we had the joys of spending time with Candice and the boys, but sad because their daddy wasn't there, as he is protecting our country in Afghanistan. We are so proud of David Janecke, but miss him terribly and can't imagine how hard these next several months are going to be for Candice.

The Hawaii trip started out very memorable as this was mom's longest flight yet. She was a little nervous at first, but overall did really well during the flight, despite the few turbulence episodes. Upon arrival, Candice greeted us with leis at the airport and we couldn't wait to get back to the house to meet the famous Janecke boys. Noah and Tristen are sooo adorable! We had a great time with them and truly enjoyed our time on the Island. We were able to dine at some famous joints, have some quality beach time, and also get inked! Yes, that's right, INKED. During our stay in Hawaii, David and I celebrated our 10th year together. What better way to celebrate then with a new tattoo? A little crazy, right? We each got Polynesian artwork done and love our new tats'

We were sad to leave Hawaii, but are looking forward to Labor Day weekend as we will get to spend a few days with Candice and the boys in San Fransisco. I can't wait to squeeze their little cheeks! I can't believe they will be 7 months old by then!!! My oh my, time does fly!
