It's a ......

B O Y !

8 years ago today, we committed our relationship before God, our family, and our friends. It's nothing but God's blessings over our lives that we find out on our 8th Wedding anniversary that we are adding baby boy #2 to our family. The number "8" in the bible means "New Beginnings". God continues to amaze us with his wondrous ways.

We had a great ultrasound with Dr. Sawyer. We told him that we wanted to find out the gender later on that night as we enjoyed our anniversary dinner. Doc thought that was a great idea and made us look away as watched the screen to see if we were team pink ... or blue.

Later on that evening, David and I enjoyed an amazing dinner at Eddie V's in Scottsdale. This is one of our favorite places to enjoy a fine dining experience. We had a delicious appetizer, salad, and entree. Shortly before dessert was asked our server to help us out and explained what special surprise we had and asked him to do our "reveal" when he came and brought our dessert out. A few minutes later he arrived with a decorated plate topped with a chocolate cake and 3 "blue" candles. I didn't catch on at first, and then David said "Awww, there it is" and pointed out the candles. We were shocked and excited to see that Braylon was right this entire time, and God is giving him a baby brother.

Before we went to pick Bray up from Nana's house, we stopped at the party store. We purchased blue balloons, some sports theme balloons (thanks to daddy) and a small little blue owl, that we later named "ice cube". When we got home, we showed Bray his surprise and although it was wayyyy past his bedtime he seemed very excited to be having a baby brother.

We cannot wait to meet this little guy, what a joy its going to be to have little brothers running around. Brother relationships are so special and unique and I am so excited to watch these two grow up together.

A New Chapter

It was December 1st, 2014. I asked David to stop by the neighborhood Wal-Mart on our way home that night, as I had to pick something up. Somehow, I just knew. I knew that all I have been praying for, for several years was here. I went through the "speedy" checkout line and scurried home to take "The Test". A few minutes later, my feelings were verified. We were Pregnant, with baby #2. At first, I was in shock. I immediately thanked our Heavenly Father for this amazing gift that He planted inside of me. David was in denial...He couldn't believe that it was true. As the coming days would arrive, and more tests were taken, he finally realized this was happening. It was perfect timing for our family. Braylon couldn't wait to get a "brudder or sister" so when we shared the news with him, he was ecstatic. A few weeks later we had our first ultrasound, all was well, our baby was 8 weeks old and growing perfectly. A few days later we would celebrate Christmas and decided to share the news with the family at our annual Christmas Eve party. The news broke and the reactions were epic. This was a day I will never, ever forget. We are so excited to expand our family. We are looking forward to decorating a nursery, shopping for the necessities, and most importantly giving Braylon a life-long best friend.

In one week, on our 8th Wedding Anniversary, we will head to the doctors for our "gender" ultrasound. Something inside of me feels like our baby is a girl, however Braylon is convinced it's a boy. Regardless, we will love he/she more than life itself. God gets all the glory for this amazing miracle growing inside of me. We are sooo extremely excited for the 8th year as a family... after all, "8" means "New Beginning" and a new beginning this will be.

So Long 2011!

We sign off this year with our 2011 Family Photo Card. I would normally call it a "Christmas Card" but considering I didn't get them mailed until after Christmas, we will have to call it a "New Years Greeting". That's what happens when you are running after a toddler by day and running a business by night. In fact, they made a movie about my life...Sarah Jessica Parker plays me. It's on DVD now, you should rent it! #IDONTKNOWHOWSHEDOESIT

What a blessed year this has been! Braylon has had many firsts in 2011, just to name a "few"...first teeth, first steps, first words, first swimming lessons, first fire works show, first boat ride, first time trick-or-treating, first time on TV, to even his first broken bone. Oh the list could go on and on. He is all boy and the pure joy and love of our lives.God is sooo good to us, and has given us complete Mercy and Favor this year. We continue to praise Him for all His doing and look forward to what 2012 has in store! We are praying and believing for "ELEVATION" this New Year and pray the same for you!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A Very Merry Kingcannon Christmas

Christmas morning was very quiet and wonderful. Our little family of 3 enjoyed a quiet morning opening gifts and seeing what Santa delivered. Braylon was overwhelmed with all the goodies, both in a good way and bad way. Look for the photo below of him in complete histarics, afraid of the jumping contraption that Santa brought. I thought this could be a new way for him to have fun, boy was I ever wrong. The trouble I went to to get this darn thing home was even more funny, but that is a whole other story. Needless to say we removed the air out of the thing and it's in the box for a possible return. We'll see!

Later that evening we froliced over to moms house for a nice dinner with the fam'bam and more gift exchange. Good times were shared, we are very blessed with an amazing family.

Christmas Eve

Today Grandma June and my dad came over for some hang out time and gift exchange. We enjoyed having them over to our house and the time together. We opened presents and Braylon was so excited with his new book and "Rock star Mickey" that they gave him.

Later that evening, we had our "First Annual Christmas Party" where all our family and friends joined us for food, fun, and fantastic laughs. The kids were summoned to the playroom for a pajama party while us adults enjoyed some games. It was great to have Mom, Aunt lynie, The Coys, The Nathans, The Barkers, The Calapps, and the Humbers over for some holiday cheer! We look forward to more celebration in the years to come!

Christmas Party Playdate

Moving into this neighborhood has allowed for us to meet some amazing people. For starters, our sweet neighbors, Molly and Troy Calapp and their adorable children -- Lexie, Maxx, and Hudson. We met them last year on halloween and we became instant friends. Molly has introduced me to several other mom's with kiddos just Braylon's age. We had a great time at our "Secret Santa gift exhange slash BBQ" at the park. Let me note that this park is 1 block from our house, so needless to say, it's sooo conveient for our little "boy on the run".
