10 Months!

Can I just say Braylon is getting funnier, cuter, and more rebellious by the minute! For starters, he cracks me up daily. I can’t imagine what this lil’ munchkin is going to be like once words actually start flowing from his mouth. He is so hilarious with how he mimics us and wants to say “da da” every time we talk to him. Or when theirs any type of music (tv, radio, or daddy’s wonderful singing voice) he starts yelling at the top of his longs as he wants to “sing too”. His new thing is giving kisses. If you say “Braylon, give me a kiss” he will lean over full mouth open and plan a big wet one right on ya. It’s priceless. He loves to eat everything now. Well, daddy only allows for certain “grown up food” but I sneak some fun stuff in every once in awhile. For instance, Babbo’s famous garlic bread! Who could resist, I was snacking on some take out yesterday and I couldn’t help but let Bray partake in the delicious treat. Daddy walked in a few minutes into his snack and about had a fit. I told him he was fine and that not to worry, I wouldn’t let him choke. It’s cute that daddy is so protective, but geeezeee louizeee, he can be NO FUN sometimes! Hmmm, what else makes him cute this month…well-he loves his new “baby jail” that we created for him in our formal living room. He gets 30 minutes two times a day in there and he has a ball. He especially loves it when mommy or daddy come in with him and play. Oh, and how can I forget to tell you about the rebellious part of our lil’ terror? Well, let’s see…would it be how he manages to roll himself all the way down the hallway in his walker, into the bathroom, and onto the toilet paper, brining the whole roll with him back down the hallway and into the kitchen?! Or could it be when he pulls out our recycling products from the trash that is ON TOP of the other trash can?! Yes, he lifts it down. Hmmm, gotta come up with a new spot for that one. Or wait, what takes the cake is when he thinks it’s funny to yank on our curtains so hard that they fall off the rod! Yah, imagine me by this point. David keeps laughing and saying “whatcha gonna do when he starts walking…and running. YIKES!!!!! I don’t know what…maybe hire a nanny??? All jokes aside, as all of my mommy friends can attest, these are the funniest times yet and I am sooo blessed to have such a spunky kid to light up my life.

Swimmmmming

I always knew that I wanted our kids to get swim lessons early in life. Especially, now that we have a pool in our backyard. My mom gave me swimming lessons at just 8 months old, so I learned at a very early age not to be afraid of water. I want the same thing for Braylon-so with hesitation daddy agreed to let Bray get swim lessons. We have taken 1 trial class at “Hubbard Swim School” and we will try out “Aqua Tots” next week. I mostly just want to get him used to the water before we start really swimming in our pool here in the next month or so. He wasn't a big fan of his first pool experience, although I was able to get a few smiles from him. I am hoping that as the classes continue he will learn to LOVE TO SWIM just like his momma!

Is our baby tipsy, or is it just me?

So, it was a great Friday morning—normal routine; wake up, cuddle, breakfast, gym (baby gym). After the gym we had to go to Scottsdale on a work related errand. During our drive, Braylon was crying harsher than normal. After a few minutes, he went off to sleep so I just assumed he was “overly tired”. He woke up and I was in the back seat and he looked at me with the strangest look…almost as if he was really out of it, and lethargic. Once again, figured he was tired. A few hours go by and we are finally done with our errands and meetings, yes the joys of “KC Property Group” field work. So, like always we stop off for a bite of lunch. We put Bray in the highchair to eat and he is starts swaying back and forth and not able to keep his balance. I grew quite concerned and David thought he was just “dizzy from barely waking up”…Well, after lunch we went to the mall to play, we put him down in the play place and he wouldn’t crawl. Then when he finally started to crawl, he fell right over on his side. I immediately picked him up and called the doctor, I knew something was just not right. Thank God for a great pediatric office, we were seen within a half hour. Turned out poor kiddo had double ear infections! He was started on amoxicillin and was well within just a few days. So sad when these babies can’t tell you when something is wrong. I am so thankful that God gave us a sign and we were able to get him seen. Just a week prior when we took him for his 9 month checkup a 3 year old was getting admitted to the hospital because of a double ear infection! So scary!

It’s a great day for the Park

We enjoyed a tasty lunch at the Wildlife Zoo Aquarium restaurant with the fam, which I totally recommend for their great food and tropical ambiance. After lunch we decided to head to the park for a bit to burn off some calories. I was super excited because not only was the weather amazinggggg but it was Braylon’s first visit to the park since he’s been “mobile”. He had a great time swinging, feeding the ducks, and playing with this bell-thinga-majiga, and enjoying the breeze. Jaiden was sure to show her little cousin the ups and downs of the park. It is so fun to see Jaid interact with him, she just adores her “Mr Braylon”. We reserved a Ramada at the park on Easter Sunday for a bbq after church, should be fun to bring Braylon
back...who knows-that's a month away, maybe he'll be taking a few steps by then!

Hanging out with the birds at lunch!

Off to the park we go...
